i have a bosch pie640q01e induction hob?

I have one of these with the left hand side U/S. after 2 years and was told it was uneconomical to repair and buy a new one, so I did. I got a cheapo one from Currys for 1/5th of the cost of the Bosch and it is still going strong 15 years later. However, after a couple of years I dragged it out and stripped it down and found a couple of capacitors swollen so I spent 20p on replacements and gave it to my son who has used it for 12 years until it failed again recently, If I could get a service manual for it I could probably fix it again but why bother when I can get a perfectly good replacement for £150. After a totally useless Bosch Dishwasher and an equally useless Neff oven I just buy the cheapo ones which work better and last longer.

Call bosch service centre and take out their care plan. It will cost you £14 per month for a years guarantee around £168? but it will be no where near the cost of the call out and part est. At around £300. This plan can only be taken out if you need a repair. I have just used this and will save half the cost of normal repair and get to pay in instalments. It is great!! Plus I will be covered on this hob for the next year if anything else goes wrong! Hope this helps

All I know is that the backward 9 is actually a lower case e (e). It will be one of the three circuit boards, left, right, or control panel. But really needs to be put on a diagnostic machine using the port underneath. Price for part range from 155.00 to 240.00 unfortunately depending on which board has gone. Hope this helps
