My Hoover Vision HD 8kg Washer drum will not turn?

the motor seems to be making a normal noise and is turning but the pully on the back of the drum is also turning but it is not turning the drum. the pully seems to be lose? it has been making a funny noise for a while. the drum turns when the washer is empty.
