Mend Kenmore 116.20712007 Vacuum Canister Motor

smoke from exhaust on kenmore 116.20712007 canister vacuum?

could this be the brushes or the motor itself. lots of sparks under the exhaust filter when it runs. motor looks clean inside as do the filters. (albeit the new black smoke on exhaust filter) burning smell is moderate. 6 yr old unit. brushes are about 1.25 inch in length.

The motor is gone as the life expectency on this machine is no longer than 5 yrs. It's best to purchase a vac from your local vacuum store as there is better units that last longer and work better, in most cases they don't cost more than your wispertone.
