Mend Volkswagen Transporter TDi Engine Van Driving

How do I bleed the air out of my Volkswagen Transporter TDi?

the engine on my van cut off as I was driving. I was able to start it again, after trying for a while, and after moving about ten meters it cut off again. Subsequently, I was able to restart it several times, but it kept cutting off. the tank was reading empty, so I guess there's air in the system, but I'm not sure where to bleed it from. I don't think there's a manual pump on it.

would maybe try and remove filter and manually fill with diesel,may be a good time to renew it,refit,open injector pipes and make sure you have fuel through to the injectors whilst cranking,close them up and give it a go,good luck
