BEKO 5100W washing machine?

I checked the filter it was clear except for a small blood sample strip that my wife uses, impeller was free to turn. Couldn't check the ohms without a tester. Prewash light still flashed.
But, next, I pressed and held in the two buttons(with a lock sign linking them), next to the "cancel,pause, hold 3 secs" button, and abracadabra the prewash light stopped flashing, and the machine is presently chugging away happily with a wash load inside. Cheers.

prewash flashing means there is a fault and you need an engineer.check the drain pump impellor rotates by removing the filter at the bottom right behind the plinth.look inside the filter housing with a torch and see if there is anything jammed in there.check the heater at the back.should be 29 ohms across the terminals give or take a few
