lawnflite 548 blade disc?

hello, my lawnflite 548 Rotary mower Blade disc has finally rusted beyond repair. I understand that a direct replacement is still available but was wondering if it would be possible to replace it with a single modern lawnflite rotary blade. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
