Mend Back Working Properly

how can I get my creative mic back to working properly?

I was using my wab cam and everything was fine. all of a sudden I lost my sound from my mic, not even the light on it shows. Help!!

if you go into control panel select sounds and audio devices then select audio and then recording volume and check that there is not a tick in the microphone volume slider
