Mend Toshiba Satellite Camera Top Screen

How do I fix my webcam on my Satellite Toshiba laptop?

It comes up that my camera is not on but I have not done anything to it since I've had it. It is built into the top edge of my laptop screen. What do I need to do to turn it on? I have sound but no picture.

First you should make sure the driver's upto date or reinstall to make sure it is good. After that you better to be a thechie-dude to take it apart and look for obvious symptoms and repair accordingly. Resoldering some joints around the cam is very likely can solve the problems but, that depends on the area got damaged hence, a heat gun is a better option.
