Transmission won't engage into any gear except park?
My 2003 ford windstar won't engage into any gear except park, I was told it could be a transmission pressure valve. Where is it located? It worked fine on day I came home and parked it and the next day it wouldn't work. The gear stick moves, I checked the fluid, the shifter cable is fine, what else could it be?
If the shifter actually moves the lever on the box then check if it makes a grinding noise going into park (engine on). If so the box is working and it is a diff or shaft problem. No forward or reverse and no noise then it could be anything from drive plate back. Stripped torque converter turbine spline maybe. Bad pump, check cooler flow to verify.
