Mend Volkswagen T4 Glow Plugs Cold Start Starting Problems

Starting problems with a VW T4 Van?

I am having starting problems with my son's T4 van. It was fine until it went into Mr Clutch for the Cambelt to be changed, Since then it is impossible to start from cold without bump starting it.
I wonder if the glow plugs are faulty and need changing, does anyone have any suggestions?
