Mend Starter Spring Back

need advice to put starter spring back in?

How do i go about getting the starter coil spring wound small enough to stay in ? whats the best way to do this? read your answer to putting the cord back in but my spring is out too!

Wow the feed back on this website sucks! Anyways i did it myself the spring wasn't as bad as everyone i talked too said it was going to be, getting the cord to stay on the roll , for this mcollough saw was a bit tricky but evenitally got it to stay .
