timing belt gone ?

i think the timing belt or fan belt has gone on my citroen xantia how do i know

Citroen Citroen Xantia Vehicles, Cars Timing Belt Citroen

if the car starts and runs (may need to attach jump leads )then its your fan belt , if it doesnt then its your timing belt

fan belt you can see if gone its the 1 round pulleys on outside of engine if cam belt gone only way to find out is to remove top cover (left side of engine and see if belt snapped
