Mend Toyota RS200 ES121 Sewing Machine Stitching Needle

Toyota sewing machine RS200 ES121 problem?

My Toyota sewing machine RS200 ES121 developed a whine and although the engine is going it stopped working. When I turned the hand wheel towards me a few turns, it does a couple of inches perfect stitching then the same thing happens again, the engine whines and the needle stops. Can anyone help me?

Hello Chris,
It sounds like the belt is slipping, there should be a neoprene drive belt and they do shred after a while sometimes in one spot.
