How to fix Samsung DVD-VR470M?

1hr plus into playing DVD the screen turns green and is fixed and one has no control. It then reloads video, to start it again from beginning. In VR mode the screen again turns green, screeches loudly, then after a minute or two it resumes playing. The machine is eighteen months old and I would to know if it is repairable. Thank You
