When playing a DVD we experience horizontal bands moving up the screen. They are an inch or two in height and about three inches apart, they are more noticable on dark backgrounds. The DVD player is an analogue player/recorder, connected by scart to a digital TV.
You have a video feedback problem between your tv and dvd player, a better quality scart lead MAY help or your local tv repair shop can modify a scart lead but if you select a blank channel (one with no programme on it ) before switching to your dvd input that usually hides the problem.
