Mend Smeg DW1612C Water Stopped Blocked

my Smeg dw1612c is not letting in water?

it stopped working around the same time as we got a blocked sink. is there a chance the pipes are blocked? am considering getting a specialist out but don't want to waste money. thanks for any help you can give.
