The same happened to mine, remove inside screws that hold pipe in place as these hold handle in place too...then firmly slide handle upwards to remove..it is connected to base by a snap together plastic arm which you need to unclick. Remove base screws and base will come off...however if light is working..i think it might be the element which is welded to the switching mech and no further dismantling is possible from my inspection...ive yet to try a multimeter on the element to see if its a complete circuit..don't know if that will work??..mine only stopped working yesterday suddenly for no apparent reason.
