Hoover washer dryer has blocked drum ?

I have a Hoover Nextra 6 model HNWL 7146.

We have washed a dogs blanket and all of the fluff has come out and is stuck in the washer, meaning that when we try and use it, water starts flooding out from the conditioner drawer. The outlet and inlet pipes from the drum have been emptied of fluff, but I think there is a lot more in the outer part of the drum and I was wondering how to get in there to take it out. I'm quite happy that the pump and filter are clear, the problem seems to be the drum. Any ideas?
