how can I replace the gas line and filter?

How can I replace the gas line and filter on a Homelite Super VI 200. The line is rotten and fell apart but I can't seem to
figure out how to get inside the gas tank.

The filter is located in the tank on the end of gas line which you pull out by bending a wire and hooking the line. I found this information in my owners manual.
