My dryer doesnt start?

my dryer will not start and it just makes a soft buzzing noise when i turn it on. its is an old tumble model. WHIRLPOOL
its old.
Whats the problem?

Hello,

A soft buzzing noise could be the motor running without a belt on the dryer. It could also be a bad motor or something stopping the motor from turning the drum. Does the drum try to move at all on start up?
