Mend John Deere JD66 Engine Deck Replacement

I have a JD66 mower and need to replace a spring?

After removing my deck to replace the engine i discovered a coil spring that I'm not sure where it goes, I'm assuming it has to do with the deck leveling mechanism. The spring is 1" in diameter and 7" long to the ends of the end loop coils.

Sounds like the height adjuster assistence spring, it takes away some of the deck weight making it easier to move the height adjuster up, it should anchor to the deck and the other end to the rod from back to front.
