Mend Jeep Driving Lost Started

how to fix?

I was driving and the jeep lost the acceleration power. Waited a few min and it started back. Next day driving along and it did the same thing except it back fired 3 or 4 times also then coasted to a stop. Sounds like it wants to start but it isn't getting any fire to it
