Mend Mercedes A140 Heater Control Light Switch

Replacing Heater Control Light in a Mercedes A140?

The heater switch illumination light has failed in my X reg A140. How do I go about replacing it? I can see the lamp when the switch is removed. I have tried using a rubber tube to remove the lamp but it will not budge.
