Mercedes A class Electric windows?

Hi. The electric window on my passenger door goes down fine but sticks and shudders on the way up. It will get up - evenually - but it takes so long I am scared to open it again in case it wont shut. Dealership recon I need a new "mechanism combined" and a "glass chanel"whic is over £250 just in parts!
Anyone got any ideas of a cheaper solution than just keeping the window closed!

dont belive every a dealership tell you , look on line for a car window shop ,fitter/ ect" near were you live , and get them to look at it ,
