Mend Ariston Margherita 2000 Washer Ideas Wash

ariston margherita 2000 washer dryer?

Any ideas, machine keeps filling with water but does not wash clothes, soap powder remains in dispenser, checked filter, clear of debris. Once water turned off at mains, machine will spin and empty no problem.
