BEKO 5140 W Washer Does not drain or spin?

My boyfriend heard somethign in the washer and decided to try stop the cycle and drain it. He thought that something was in the washer but he manually opened the drain and did find a couple coins sloe to the filter. GOt it to restart the wash but it gets to the same point everytime where it does not drain or spin. I followed all the instructions to reset it but none of those work at all. To me it just seems these electronics are messed up and the brain of this washer is confused. Any ideas what to do?
