Mend Worcester 532/i Heating Plumber System

I have worcester 532/i boiler?

and the green light with a picture of a flame next to it won't stay on, the heating is only heating a few rads, have had a plumber out to put in a new rad, i'm guessing he should have bleed the system before leaving, is the anythng I can do in the meantime to get the heating working properly until I can get him to come out????? help i'm, freezing to death?

sounds like you may have an air lock. try increasing the pressure a bit and see if that helps to clear it until you can get your plumber back.
