Mend Washing Machine Reset Spinning

How can I reset the Washing Machine program ?

My washing machine does not take water when I turn the knob to 40C or 60C and it starts spinning without water. I believe, it is required to reset the program to the begining and need advise on this. Please help me and let me know how to reset the program.
