Mend Vauxhall Combi Engine Battery Start

whats wrong with my p reg vauxhall combi van?

The lights all come on but when i turn the key everything dies,and the engine wont start ,after a few seconds the dash lights all come back on. Battery is fully charged.The kids where pretending to drive it before this started.
