On my Bosch I could reach the pump impeller from inside - right at the bottom of the internal sump under the filters - a small palstic cover held in place by a single torx screw.
Sometimes crud jams up the impeller - tweezers help to clear it away. The impeller blades should rotate with a bit of mgnetic resistance.
