Dishwasher. ?

my bosch dishwasher model no. sgs4002gb/20 is not emptying the water out. I thought that there might be a blockage in the outlet pipe or that the pump may have stopped working. I have tried to remove the side panel to get to where the pump appears to be but have had no success. I wondered if anyone else had experienced this problem and if they could tell me how to remove this panel without causing damage to the machine.
