faulty temperature gauge on my fiat ducato 2.3 2005?

temperature gauge fluctuates or does not move,have fitted new sender on block but still the same.

hi i have a talbot express 2.5cc 1990 after i have driven about 20 miles it start to over heat but when i put the cab heater on the temp drops down to the proper temp can you help

Had same problem on my motor home.
Remove instrument panel (quite easy) disconnect and reconnect all the multi plugs, then re-check.
Sorted mine ok.
