How can I fix my epsom DX3850 paper jam?

I have the all in one scanner DX3850 and whilst printing onto thin card the machine decided to take 4 sheets of card at once, I stopped it immediately and pulled all the sheets out from the top and now the printer keeps telling me there is a paper jam but there isn't and it just makes a noise as though it is wanting to take the paper through but it does nothing. Then the paper jam light comes on. Have I wrecked it!!!
