Mend Vaillant 831 Ecotec Central Heating Hot Water

Vaillant EcoTec Plus 831?

My girl-friend`s boiler keeps loosing pressure. What could be the cause of it? She says the boiler has to be switched on to get the appropriate pressure in the boiler so the hot water can flow in a shower.
