I have a vaillant ecotec po 28 boiler in my new home, which produces gallons of hot water, but as son as I turn the heating on the pressure gauge goes through the roof! I followed the manual guide, and aparently the pressure is too high (2.2) even when the central heating is not turned on. Any ideas how I can remedy this?
I have changed the "diverter valve" using a qualified plumber and I have developed a similar problem. I tried reducing the pressure by draining the radiator as recommended by one of your readers but it still goes back to 2.8.

2.2 bar is indeed high...bleed some water out from a convenient radiator bleed valve - it takes a while and you'll have to remove a pint or so but its the most boiler friendly way. When done - at around 1 bar - expect the pressure to rise to about 1.3 bar or close.
