Mend Leisure 55 Auto Oven Turning Gas

my oven is turning on but the gas setting remains low ?

hi i have a leisure professional 55 auto gas cooker all working fine but the oven will only stay on gas number 1 when i turn it on if i try to turn it up to gas mark 8 flame stays the same size can anyone help

the oven stat needs replacing as you only have what is known as simmer bypass
