Main oven continually clicking?

Cannon C60 LCIK LPG gas cooker main oven continually clicks from spark igniter when lit and the noise is driving us mad!!! Turning off the electric just shuts the cooker down

We have a Cannon Chester and have a similar problem but it is the ignitors on the hob that continuously spark when the main oven is on and gets over about 150 degrees.
I have disconnected the nuetral wire from the ignition button as a temporary measure and ignite the hob manually but I am not sure how safe this is.
