I am unable to start my Mercedes C18 Classic 1998. The key fob will not open the doors unless i am using the metal key and it only opens the drivers door the battery is showing 12.6 v once the door is open the steering lock wont come off Please help if anybody can, it will be much appreciated.

hi stuart had same symtoms with my 240 d it was the fob 200 for new one you will need id to purchase cheers

Start by checking / replacing battery in remote key or use second key.
If its an auto make sure gears are N or P Ie move selector up down and retry.
Also worth jump starting to a second battery
