Hoover Nextra 7 Washing Machine wont fill with water?

I have recently changed the solenoid valve on this washing machine as the frost had broken them. We thought that was our problem solved after waiting weeks for the part. Tried putting the machine on and it looks like its going to work , the light comes on under the 60 min indicator and when the water should start coming in nothing happens ! It drains and it spins but will not wash ??? The water supply is on and connected. Any help would be greatly appreciated !! Thank you
