Mend Hotpoint HJA8640 Starts Water Hear

Failure of motor in HJA 8640 Dishwasher?

HJA 8640 dishwasher starts programme, and starts to fill with water, then nothing happens, you can just hear a clicking noise. Underneath the motor is a brown residue. Dishwasher is approx 15 months old. Is it a knackered motor?

Doesn't seem to have leaked water, can rotate (ish) pump slightly by hand, on closer inspection, residue appears to be from the grease around the motor windings?

has the circulation pump leaked and seized up?.about £70 for new one
