Accenta keypad dead?

Hi dave glad to have been of some help did you put the link in the TA on the bell box side of the panel if so you will have to investigate were the fault is, either in the wireing or the bell box itself probably a fault on the box tamper inside the bell box, the lights on the bell box are= one light is for the battery charging is ok, = and the other is the tamper cirquite is ok but if you have put a link wire in it then it will not flash until you find the fault and take the link wire out cheers bazzzzz

Thanks very much for your help.I've linked the Tamp out in the control box & it's cleared the fault.One more thing please Baz- the strobe outside flashes between red & blue but is not flashing now.Any idea what is causing this

hi dave that sounds better TA first thing is to eliminate the fault, if you take the cover off the control panel and look on the left of the control board you will find conectors marked SOUND =COMMS=+13V=OV=TAMP IF YOU TAKE THE WIRES OUT OF THE TAMP AND PUT A LINK WIRE IN and replace the cover and press reset and see if it works now if it does you have a fault on the key pad tamper, if not you will have to try the tamper next to the PA and put a link wire in if it has not got one in already and try that, if that fails then you have one on the control panel cover make sure that this one works, and also you have one on the bell box outside the terminals marked T-A-D-B you can put a link wire in the T and A leave the existing wires in as well and try this let me know how you get on bazzzzzzz

Thanks for getting back to me Baz.Sorry it's the TA not AF.
The buttons on the old keypad had gone so I installed a new one. Nothing worked so I replaced the fuses in the control panel.I also took one battery lead out then & switched the mains back on.The alarm went off & I put the code in.The alarm stopped bleeping .I put the battery clip back on & put the panel back.I went to the keypad & pressed reset but the TA was lit up.Power light was on.There was no response on the keypad when I pressed the buttons.Went outside, the box outside was flashing.

hi Dave you seem to have your letters mixed up what do you mean that the AF light is lit what is the AF light give us a clue ????????????
