Mend Accenta 6 System Replacing Battery

Accenta 6 system - replacing battery?

I thought I would replace battery as read that it was cause of keypad being dead.
So I isolated the mains supply and opened the unit and disconnected the positive terminal - since then I have been in a mad panic to solve the fact sirens going off outside and when I turn on the mains the internal one goes off too! HELP!!!!

Thats normal, once the mains and battery are connected and the lid is on the panel you will need to enter your code to silence the internal speaker.
