Veritas R8 remote not functioning properly after power outage?
Lost mains power and internal alarm sounded my daughter attempted to reset bu alarm just timed out after 20mins. When power reinstated everything reset ok by itself but after this remote keypad numbers 1,2 and 3 not functioning so can't set,reset or apply engineers code (1234). Does this indicate failure in keypad or programming problem with main system because wrong buttons pressed during alarm. How do I recover the unit?
Sounds like a keypad problem. I would disconnect mains and battery and then power up again. See what happens. If not try a new keypad. They are about £20.
