Mend Veritas 8 Fault Lights Set

I have a veritas 8 alarm. When putting in code the red lights do not light up. Therefore the alarm does not set. Is this a problem with the fuse or battery. If so do i need a 2.1amp or 12v. Can you get the fuse/battery from any hardware store. thank you
