Hi folks....
Have just got hold of a superb 1998 Astra estate, everything works beautifully apart from a small fault with the central-locking. The key-fob works fine, instant result with that, but the passenger door will not respond. Have read all the very helpful replies re key-fob sync, and hope you all can help with this the same(?)
Thanks all.
Cheers for the replies....
Anyway-is it a complete ball-ache to remove the door card?....and if it is not just a case of a unclipped linkage, can I get hold of and/or replace a solanoid easily enough??
Will try to investigate further next couple of days.....
Thanks again.

if you only have one lock not working in the whole system like kev says this usually points to either the lock mechanically failing, its linkages etc.the other thing at fault could be the lock solenoid.bit of a messy job removing door cards.beware of the hidden screw inside the door handle, card slides off this clip.you can buy a packet of white clips you WILL break on ebay.

sounds like you need a new central locking mechanism motor on that side
