Mend Potterton Suprema 3000 Boiler Noise Repair

how do i fix my potterton suprema 3000 fan?

When my boiler kicks in I get a load noise that I think is teh fan, it is almost like a grinding of the gears, this noise then stops as the boiler stops, it retries to fire up and same thing happens,

is this something i can fix or will i need a professional to have a look
