Most likely you have an almost completely worn out motor brushes ($12 a set). These are rectangular blocks of carbon that carry electricity from the control circuit wires into the rotor coils of the electric wash/spin motor by rubbing lightly against a cylindrical ring of copper segments called a "commutator" that is situated near one end of the rotor, just inside the bearing at the end of the motor. Worn brushes won't pass enough power for spin, (typically a crackling sound can be heard if tried).
