Made some progress last. I removed the front cover and disassembled the power on/off circuit board. (Note plug out the power or you could get a nasty shock). Anyways the ON/OFF pcb and corrosion on it. I cleaned the board with some alcohol. It worked for a small while, I removed the pcb again and found two tracks had been completely eroded. I repaired the track with some solder and wire. Covered the repairs with silicon to prevent re-occurence. Will be installing the PCB again later. Will update later. Do not attempt this unless you have plugged out the machine from the 240 vac
