How to repair a Belling dishwasher IDW604?

my machine shows a star (Rinse aide ???) and a container with an s on the front but tne machine wont start.

I have the same dishwasher which is now also about 2 years old. The same error code kept coming up now and then (E3) from new. As it was under guarantee we called out the Belling engineer. He checked the machine and said there was nothing wrong with it, it was just that we were overloading it. I tried reducing the load and sure enough the error code stopped happening. But it means you have to underload it quite a bit. All in all I think the machine is very disapointing and will never buy a belling again!!
