Mend Neff ETT785 Cuts Few Seconds

Neff electric hob ETT785 - cuts out after a few seconds?

I've a Neff electric hob ETT785 which has started cutting out sporadically after a few seconds, sometimes a bit longer but wont stay up to temperature. Any Ideas?

I have exactly the same problem with my neff. But I have a crack near the controls so been told it could be that moisture has been getting in.
